The writings of American poet Jake Adam York (1972-2012) are not broadly known, much due in part to his untimely death at the age of 40. In this setting of York's most successful work Dan Forrest thoroughly illuminates the elegiac sentiment of the poem through both the voices and the piano. This is a substantial work and could find great meaning at a funeral or time of mourning, Memorial Day event, or community celebration of life or love.
