The Vienna Philharmonic under Franz Welser-Möst ushered in the New Year in traditional fashion with the 2011 New Year's Concert at the Musikverein in Vienna. Performing compositions by the Strauss family as well as Joseph Lanner, Joseph Hellmesberger and Franz Liszt, the orchestra and conductor presented this most Viennese of all music not only to the audience in attendance in the Golden Hall but also to television viewers in over 70 countries worldwide.

The CD and DVD recordings of this concert were released on January 28th, with the release of the Blu-ray disc following two weeks later on February 11th. All of these recordings can be ordered now here at Hans Music.
